Hi there,
I am trying to set a cookie in ie6. There is no privacy statement however I
am not trying to set this from any third party site. Not even from a
seperate webserver on the same domain. It all comes from one machine.
Furthermore when I look at the privacy info it tells me that the cookie was
accepted! Yet however everytime I reload the page it sets a new cookie
cause it can't find it.
This the code. Maybe there is some error there... Any suggestions would be
great :)
if(!isset($HTTP_COOKIE_VARS['cart_id']))
{
$cart_id = md5(uniqid(rand()));
echo("There is no cookie set so I am setting one with
the ID of <br> $cart_id\n");
if(setcookie("cart_id", $cart_id, time() + 14400))
{
echo("I was able to set a cookie\n");
}
} else {
$cart_id = $HTTP_COOKIE_VARS['cart_id'];
echo("We already have a cookie, ID: $cart_id\n");
}
Thanks Ken
