this is how i handle paths. i declare a variable that holds the distance
from my curent location to the root.by root i mean the initial folder.
lets take this eg.
main $strPath="./";
|-include $strPath="../";
|-somefolder $strPath="../../" now
that i am in somefolder i can include file from include folder like this
include $strPath."include/filename";
|-images $strPath="../";
|-css $strPath="../";
|-etc
