Phorum 5 Alpha Released!

http://phorum.org/story.php?23 The Phorum Team is proud to announce the first Alpha release of Phorum 5. Phorum 5 is the most advanced version of Phorum ever. It has been written from the ground up to give you the best performance and the most features. The new features include a templating system, a fully abstracted database layer, a cleaner, simpler administration interface, a streamlined installation that is now file free and more! This code is ALPHA quality. It has bugs. It lacks features that are in the current release, Phorum 3.4.2. However, if you are willing, we ask that you test Phorum 5 in a development capacity. We are not accepting language files or new templates at this time as the code is not that stable. Please direct any feedback about Phorum 5 to the Phorum 5 Test Forum <http://dev.phorum.org/phorum5/>. Upgrading from Phorum 3 is possible via a script in the scripts dir of the download. We can not guarantee an upgrade path to future version of Phorum 5 from this ALPHA. You can download the alpha on our downloads page <http://phorum.org/downloads.php>. Thanks, Brian Moon Phorum Dev Team
