dear all,
thanks a lot to all those who took
trouble to reply to my previous mail.
now i used the '.' operator so that when
i 'view source' from the browser, i can see
the correct path name in place of $path in
background.
the image in a jpg image.
but what now happens is that, neither the
image is seen nor the alignment of text done
by tables in html file anymore exists.
the page is totally out of shape and without
the image even when view source shows correct image.
