Put a textbox in the movie that just shows the value of the variable so that you can make sure the movie is reading. I'm not sure it is called a textbox, I don't do flash, I just help our designers debug when they hit a snag. You might be better off posting this to a flash list because this is a flash problem not a PHP problem. Also, you need to make sure you are doing in this tag too <PARAM NAME="movie" so that both browsers are getting the variable. I think IE reads the EMBED and NS reads the OBJECT, I could be wrong, but I know that both have to be right. > -----Original Message----- > From: Miles Thompson [mailto:milesthompson@ns.sympatico.ca] > Sent: Wednesday, April 23, 2003 9:59 AM > To: php-general@lists.php.net > Subject: [PHP] Passing var to Flash > > > I'm using a Flash movie which will publish daily sets of news stories. > > Writers of course need to preview their work, so they can see how > it will look in the movie.
