Something with php server changed?

All my mail() scripts are now broken. Server/host said they upgraded to PHP 4.3.1
I grabed an example from the WROX PHP4 book to test:

$mail_to ="x@x.com";
$mail_subject = "Hi there!";
$mail_body = "We'll have a meeting next Wednesday.\n";
$mail_body .= "7 P.M. in Judy's Office.\n";
$mail_body .= "Oh, BYOB!\n";

if(mail($mail_to, $mail_subject, $mail_body))
echo "Successfully sent the e-mail \"$mail_subject\" to $mail_to.";
else echo "Failed to send the e-mail \"$mail_subject\"."
?>
As you guessed, this gives me the failed message. Anyone else out there experiencing this? What
needs to be changed in the above script?
