is there a way of avoiding the output started problem? maybe stop loading this page and start loading another? Yes. Preferably, decide whether to redirect the user before sending anything to the browser. Or save all that you would send to the browser in a variable and only echo/print it if you decide not to redirect the user. Alternatively, I think you can use output buffering to store the output for you.
This has been discussed before so I think you will find something useful by looking in the archives. HTH Chris
