I have php script that probes an IP range for specific SNMP information, one
of the commands I use looks like this:
$delta_nine = snmpget("$host","$community",".1.3.6.1.4.1.77.1.4.1.0");
All good so far. However.... if I probe some machines I get error messages
like this:
Warning: snmpget() [function.snmpget]: Error in packet: (noSuchName) There
is no such variable name in this MIB.
Warning: snmpget() [function.snmpget]: This name does not exist:
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.77.1.4.1.0
Which is because that oid is inappropriate for whatever device it is I've
hit... but this is exactly what the probe is trying to determine.
Assuming everyone understands what I am trying to achieve here, what is they
way round it? Suppress the messages somehow? Probe in a different way? ??
Many thanks PHP gurus of the world :o)
