Hello people, I have a problem with a website i'm working on, I am desperatly seeking for help I have the following setup: redhat 8, apache 2.45, php 4.3.2-RC1 and mysql 4.0.10-gamma-standard. The problem: parts of the text from a textarea region is multiplied (some paragraphs, etc) and written like that in the database. And this happens especially with bigger text, at least one or two pages (about 4000 characters). My question is: what am I doing wrong? how can I prevent this? Details: I have a standard form like this: <form method="POST" enctype="multipart/form-data" action="/2.php"> <textarea name="continut" cols=40 rows=10></textarea><BR> <input type="submit" value="Try"> </form> with 2.php, the handler, being: $continut = $_POST['continut']; $query = "INSERT INTO proba (continut) values ('$continut')"; $result = mysql_query($query) or die (mysql_error());
