Hello, I want to make hints on my registration form. I mean some help information if the user move the mouse pointer over a text or/and input box. Is there a way to do this?
This needs DHTML and a javascript, and up till about a year ago i would not have recommended it but now most browsers can handle it pretty ok. I found this script was easy to adapt to use with PHP(adding your own texts), and works in the common browsers: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex5/texttool.htm I write lines like: <td valign="top"><a href="#" onClick="showtip(this,event,'$beschrijving[_HYT_VALUE_]')" onMouseover="showtip(this,event,'$detailbeschrijving[_HYT_VALUE_]')" onMouseout="hidetip()"><img src="modules/hypertable/inc/tags_images/tooltip.gif" width="24" height="20" border="no"></a></td> For use with non IE browsers you need to add breaks in your text lines.
