If the client has the font available, then
<font face="Barcode Font Name">123</font>
should work. Are you sure the font is installed correctly, and that you
are using the correct name?
You could also consider replacing the characters with images...
<p><img src="1.gif"><img src="2.gif"><img
src="3.gif"></p>
or maybe explore font embedding (WEFT) (probably IE-specific, maybe IIS
specific)
