phpAds + MySQL problem

Can someone tell me what this error from MySQL means??
000831 11:33:32 Aborted connection 1043 to db: 'phpAds' user:
'adsuser ' (Got an error reading communication packets)
I can't seem to find the cause of my problem with 'phpAds'. Here's what I have:
IN 'index.html' ON MAIN WWW SERVER

src="http://www2.mydomain.net/phpAds/phpads.php3?what=KEY_WORD"></a>
'www2' is running the same versions of PHP as the main server and it's also
running the MySQL server. The MySQL server is v3.23.5-alpha (which might be my
problem, don't know) and PHP is v3.0.16 (I also have PHP4 installed).
Any ideas what might be causing the error above??
