I need to set-up a test DB server on my Win XP laptop. I have Apache Webserver and MS IIS installed on it. Can any one suggest which one is better to use with phpMyAdmin. As i did not see a reply yet i thought i would send in my 1 cent.
PHPMyAdmin is a set of PHP scripts to make it easier to maintain MySQL databases and their content. As far as i know (check their documentation to be sure), the funcionality of PHPMyAdmin is not dependent on the server. For PHP itself: in Apache you would usually run PHP as a built-in module and in IIS as a CGI. For your laptop that does not matter too much as the implications of this are related to speed and server security.
