Hi all!
Sorry if the subject is not too descriptive, but I did not know how to put it.
This is my problem:
I have HORDE and IMP installed on my virtual host account. In the early
morning hours it works fine, not a problem. Now, as the day goes up (around 12
or so) and more fellow virtual hosters start getting hits on their site and so
on, or start using CPANEL (and evil thing on my point of view), that HORDE/IMP
ceases to work, generation to infamous "segfault 11" on the error_logs.
My question(s):
- Is there a setting on PHP that will just generate a "refuse to work at this
load"?
- How many PHP processes are allow before weird things happen?
- Is there a memory limit for PHP when running as an Apache module?
- Is there a setting on PHP.INI that needs to be tweaked which could fix the
problem?
The PHP is being used from within Apache as a module, the version is 4.3.1
(release, Zend Engine v1.3.0), latest PEAR, on Apache 1.3.27 compiled with:
Compiled-in modules:
http_core.c
mod_env.c
mod_log_config.c
mod_mime.c
mod_negotiation.c
mod_status.c
mod_include.c
mod_autoindex.c
mod_dir.c
mod_cgi.c
mod_asis.c
mod_imap.c
mod_actions.c
mod_userdir.c
mod_alias.c
mod_access.c
mod_auth.c
mod_so.c
mod_setenvif.c
mod_ssl.c
mod_frontpage.c
suexec: enabled
They use grsec patch kernel 2.4.20 and the dreaded cpanel 6.
I am sending this to 'install' and 'general' with the hopes I will get things
straighted out and since I am not sure which one is bound to be the
appropiated one. Any help/tips highly appreciated.
Cheers,
