The only other error I see if the use of 'microtime'. I think you mean to call the function.
So it should read:
srand(microtime() * 1000000);
"In older versions of PHP, you had to seed the random number generator before use with srand(). Since 4.2.0 this is no longer necessary."
Otherwise it all works for me just fine.
