Why don't you try something like:
put somewhere in the actual loop..
if(time == time()+$time_limit)
$Disconnect =1;
make $time_limit be the amount of seconds in UNIX timestamp style
and then Whenever value of disconnect becomes one 1 get out...

But the redirection is only executed, when pressing the "stop"-button of
your
browser. Then the browser waits 2 seconds and after that, it redirects. If
not
pressing the stop-buttons, the script runs and runs...
