Do you mean invoke the email client on a client machine or on the server?
If its on the client machine, then PHP has no way to do it. Use javascript
to achieve it.
2)
You can probably encrypt/Decrypt using mcrypt functions but for that you
need to have the mcrypt module installed with php. check your webserver to
see if it is installed.
