I have a Windows 2000 server running IIS 5.0 with PHP 4.3.1. I am trying to
load a COM object within PHP. If I try $MyObject = new COM
("ADODB.Connection"), I get an error saying:
php.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x32432432" reference memory at "0x34343". The memory
could not be "read".
I can load ADODB.Connection or any other DLL from ASP without problems. The
problem is not localized to that one DLL, I get the same error message
loading any DLL from PHP. I can load "Excel.Application", but that ProgId
corresponds to an exe. The really strange thing is that I can load a DLL I
wrote in C#, and as long as I load that DLL first, I can load any other DLL
without errors. For instance:
$myobj = new COM("NETdll.Test");
$con = new COM("ADODB.Connection");
will work without problems, assuming "NETdll.Test" is my C# dll. But if I
comment out that line, I'll get the memory error again.
I tried the same calls on another server with the same configuration, and I
get the same problem.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
