header problems with content disposition inline

hi there i am having a few problems with my headers with content disposition inline to output to the screen, i have been generating pdf content with htmldoc , although it requires to save a temp file from the html content first , i cannot unlink the temp file created with tempnam after a header like so Header('Content-Type: application/octet-stream'); Header('Content-disposition: attachment; filename='.$filename); i am also having a similar issue with a xls generator i cannot output to the screen and also created a generated file and store on the server after the output , what can i do ?
