Could mail() do ???

Hi,Sir: I mail email using my own simple webmail developed by myself (PHP), but I failed to send mail to this php-lists using the mail() function, the mail is always rejected. I found that mail() could not alter the mail\'s Return-path, so my mail always shows nobody@...... on return-path line and failed to send here . Is there any body could just use mail() function send mail to the php-general@lists.php.net ? Any help or reply will be ok .........
