Adding graphics library

I am new to Linux so I need some help for installing the graphics library. This is what I did to get PHP to inlcude Interbase.
!! Configure PHP with Interbase with apxs
34 ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/sbin --with-interbase=/opt/interbase
35 ./configure --with-interbase=/opt/interbase --with-apxs=/usr/sbin
36 ./configure --with-interbase=/opt/interbase --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs
What do I need to add to this to include the graphics library?
