I have a computer on my LAN that I only use maybe twice a week for 1/2
hour to test some hardware I manufacture. I figure that I can use it the
rest of the time as a php/mysql host to redo all of my accounting and
inventory software.
My choice is to install the Win98 binaries of Apache, PHP, and MySQL
(and maybe perl), which I suspect is a fairly simple install. Or to use
Partition Magic to create a different bootable partition and install
Linux and the Linux versions of all of those. I suspect that this is
going to be a lot more complex, since I've never installed any of these
(either version).
Looking for comments and suggestions on which way to go (please be as
specific and verbose as you can). One thing I do understand from the PHP
manual is that certain commands (I think mostly file related) don't work
in a Windows environment.
