Hi !
I have a script that works but the receiver have problems with long URLs like at mail. For this the
receiver must go to my website and enter pickup id . I don't want to give pickup_id for the
receiver.Do you have solution?
This is the script:
<?
if (empty($pickup_id)) {
echo "<FORM METHOD=\"post\" ACTION=$PHP_SELF>";
echo "Pickup ID #: <INPUT type=\"text\" NAME=\"pickup_id\">";
echo "<input type=\"submit\" value=\"Submit\"
name=\"1\">";
echo "</FORM>";
} else {
mysql_connect($host,$user,$password);
@mysql_select_db("$db") or die("Unable to open database");
$query = "SELECT * FROM $table WHERE pickup_id='$pickup_id'";
$result=@mysql_query($query);
$id = mysql_result($result,0,"id");
$pic = mysql_result($result,0,"pic");
$sound = mysql_result($result,0,"sound");
$pbcolor = mysql_result($result,0,"pbcolor");
$hbcolor = mysql_result($result,0,"hbcolor");
$htcolor = mysql_result($result,0,"htcolor");
$hfont = mysql_result($result,0,"hfont");
$htext = mysql_result($result,0,"htext");
$mbcolor = mysql_result($result,0,"mbcolor");
$mtcolor = mysql_result($result,0,"mtcolor");
$mfont = mysql_result($result,0,"mfont");
$message = mysql_result($result,0,"message");
$sname = mysql_result($result,0,"sname");
$smail = mysql_result($result,0,"smail");
$rname = mysql_result($result,0,"rname");
$rmail = mysql_result($result,0,"rmail");
$date = mysql_result($result,0,"date");
$markedread = mysql_result($result,0,"markedread");
$htext = stripslashes("$htext");
$message = stripslashes("$message");
$message = nl2br("$message");
$sname = stripslashes("$sname");
$smail = stripslashes("$smail");
$rname = stripslashes("$rname");
$rmail = stripslashes("$rmail");
$mailsender = "From: $rname <$rmail>";
$subject = "Your friend has picked-up the greeting card sent from $sitename";
$mailmessage = "Hello $rname!\n\n $sname <$smail> has sent you a virtual greeting card
via $sitename\n\n
You can get your card at $installpath/pickup.php3?pickup_id=$unique\n\n
Some mail programs have problems with long URLs like the one above. So, if it's not a clickable
link, you can either cut and paste the entire link into your browser or get your card at
$installpath/pickup.php3 and use the following claim number:\n
$unique";
mail($smail, $subject, $mailmessage, $mailsender);
?>
