pq_recvbuf: unexpected EOF on client connection

I've searched both the Postgres site and the PHP site with no luck to what
the cause of this problem is.
I'm running postgresql-7.0.2 with php-4.0.1pl2. When I run the following
PHP script I get the above mentioned error. What's the problem?
