<?php $query = "select capacity from mrbs_room where id=$room_id "; $people = mysql_query($query); <- this is supposed to pull a value for a capacity of a room
You're missing a step. All $people contains is a result set. You need to get the result from it: $capacity = mysql_result($query, 0, "capacity"); +------------------------------------------------+
