hi all
i am hoping someone can help me with this one...
we have a lotus notes database which stores a music industry catalogue for the australian market. the db was previously written in foxpro which worked well over our NT4 Terminal Server network but now that it is in lotus notes we cannot access the db over the network without buying domino server, which of course is a bit over the top to look at a catalogue.
We have looked at installing the db on all workstations locally but the minimum install is 2gb! and a lot of them only have 1gb drives (and not enough processing power)...so as you can see we really need a way around this.
I had a thought that maybe i could write a php front end to access the lotus db (.nsf)...as it can be accessed via ODBC.. i know this is certainly possible but i have been having dramas and cannot seem to get thru to the db...there are a few different ODBC lotus notes drivers...which is the best one to use.
Does anyone have any experience with PHP/Lotus Notes ?
The db holds about 300,000 records..will this be a problem?
Thanks for any help you can offer..
Regards
