PHP 5 and COM problem

I just updated my binaries to their PHP 5 counterparts (from http://kromann.info/php4.php) and im getting issues with COM.
The following line:
$foo=new COM("GnucDNA.Core");
Generates this error:
Fatal error: Class 'com' not found in <path to script> on line <line num>
The COM object has been registered and if it means anything im a PHPGTK developer. Any help appreicated.
