qq! ... ! syntax in PHP?

The name of this syntax is escaping me in PERL, but I am wondering if
this exists in PHP?
In PERL I can do the following:
$var = qq!
blah blah
blah
!;
Then I can print out $var, also include variables inside that block!
I would like to do something similar in PHP... can I?
