on a Solaris 8 sparc,
> uname -a
SunOS smtp 5.8 Generic_108528-01 sun4u sparc
SUNW,UltraSPARC-IIi-Engine
using php-4.0.2.tar.gz and passing no options to configure
during compile, once it gets into main/ main.c,
internal_functions.c, snprintf.c, and php_sprintf.c all
compile fine. once it gets to configuration-parser.c it
just hangs indefinitely. here's what it is passing to gcc;
gcc -I. -I/usr/home/web-install/php-4.0.2/main
-I/usr/home/web-install/php-4.0.2
-I/usr/home/bellis/web-install/php-4.0.2/main
-I/usr/home/web-install/php-4.0.2/Zend
-I/usr/home/web-install/php-4.0.2
-I/usr/home/web-install/php-4.0.2/ext/mysql/libmysql
-I/usr/home/web-install/php-4.0.2/ext/xml/expat/xmltok
-I/usr/home/web-install/php-4.0.2/ext/xml/expat/xmlparse
-D_POSIX_PTHREAD_SEMANTICS -DXML_BYTE_ORDER=21 -g -O2 -c
configuration-parser.c && touch configuration-parser.lo
tracing the process shows,
smtp# truss -p 27000
open("/home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/php.h",
O_RDONLY) (sleeping...)
but, i never told it to do anything with /home/php.
that doesn't exist.
has anyone seen this problem compiling php 4.0.2
on any OS/platform? thanks, Bill
