if you're looking for the current time, then this is sufficient: $sDate=date('Y-m-d'); the error is most likely on a line above that one. I've never seen date() called in the way you did, though - the documentation (http://php.net/date) says that time() is the default for the second parameter, so is never actually needed. Kae
