Take a look at pwgen, it is a command line utility that makes it easy to generate random passwords with a user specified length, it can generate random words that are easier to remember or truly random secure passwords with non alpha numeric characters in it. It is available in the FreeBSD ports tree and probably easily found from google.

Have you considered creating random passwords? Chris.
