archive data?

Can someone please tell me the best way to go about archiving data. I get
a new set of data for each line in table A every hour, rather than go
through that entire table (which happens to be 38,000,000 lines long) and
checking for data that needs to be changed, I delete from the table and
reinsert everything. I would like to keep the data dropped once a day so
that I can display trends and what not. What would be the best way to
accomplish said task?
