As Jeremy mentioned, you could use a combo of serialize/unserialize.
However, if you are passing it in a URL string, there is a good chance it
could outgrow the manageable state. I *think* URL strings have a 4
kilobyte limit, too.
If you need to store data from one page view to another, chances are your
best bet is using sessions of some sort. I've developed my own session
system I'm happy with, but there is built in PHP support now in PHP 4,
too. In any case, there are ways to do it, depending on what your needs
are.
