Authentication question

Hi there,
I have a question; let's say i've authenticated a user named "Foo"
using a PHP script that authenticates using PAM.
That user uploads a file to the server, and i want that file to
have the owner and group "Foo"; how would i do that? I can't
use chown or chgrp because the server is running under "nobody",
or can i ?
Could someone shed some light on this?
