Yeah I thought so to. But I did a chmod 755 on the sock file and it
didn't help.
Here's the test script I am using: (Presume that's what you meant by
"connection string"?

if($Connection = mysql_connect('localhost', '******', '******'))
print 'Success!';
else
print 'Failure';
?>
