I'm using some similar to below to authenticate users to a site:
if(!isset($PHP_AUTH_USER)) {
Header( "WWW-authenticate: basic realm=\"highlifter\"");
Header( "HTTP/1.0 401 Unauthorized");
etc...
Anyway, it's all working great. But I have an instance where I know what
the users username and password is already. I would like them to be able
to access the site, and pass the authentication on future requests durring
that visit to the site.
What I'm getting at, is there a way to simulate the browser authentication
if I already have $username and $password
Kevin
