PHP 4.0.2 Question

I don't know if you can help.
I've just installed PHP4.0.2 on a new server as an apache module in Apache 1.3.12. Because I
need to connect to a MSSQL 7.0 server I've compiled freeTDS 0.50 using tdsver=4.2
Unfortunately, certain queries to the SQL database cause httpd to crash immediately after the query
has been processed. Do you know what might be causing this and how I can fix it?
I tried re-compiling freeTDS using tdsver=7.0 but that just left my database connected php pages
blank!
