imagecreatefromjpeg() warning - i don't get it :(

With all the appropriate libraries installed (gd/jpeg), and using php4.0.2, why would a simple use of imagecreatefromjpeg() function produce this error: Warning: imagecreatefromjpeg: 'test.jpg' is not a valid JPEG file Or rather, what is considered a "valid JPEG file"? Is an image saved as a JPEG from name-your-image-creation-program not _really_ a JPEG for the purposes of this function? Confused. :( - Julie +------------------------------------------------+
