Pete, Change the default configuration of the option session.cookie_lifetime
in the php.ini
by default:
; Lifetime in seconds of cookie or, if 0, until browser is restarted.
session.cookie_lifetime = 0
your change:
; Lifetime in seconds of cookie or, if 0, until browser is restarted.
session.cookie_lifetime = 10800 // 10800 seconds = 3 hours
