That worked.
Thanks.
Chris
You probably just forgot to copy php.ini-dist from the .tar.gz PHP file to /usr/local/lib. I forgot to do that once and php worked fine. :) Just download PHP again, and then put php.ini-dist in /usr/local/lib but remember to rename it to php.ini Regards, Tyler Longren ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Eagan" <chris24e@hotmail.com> To: <php-general@lists.php.net> Sent: Saturday, September 16, 2000 9:11 PM Subject: [PHP] missing php.ini Hi, I have a strange, newbie problem... I just installed php-4.0.1pl2 as an Apache module on Mandrake Linux 7.1 and I can't find the php.ini file. The phpinfo() output says the path is /usr/local/lib - but it's not there. I updatedb'd after the install and did locate *php*ini* - but nothing was found. PHP seems to be working fine, except I can't specify include paths and the like. I did the same install on RH-6.0 recently and didn't have this problem. Any suggestions? Is there a standard php.ini file I can maybe just download somewhere and just place it in the /usr/local/lib directory? Any comments, outrage, or suggestions appreciated.
