Although this is really a question for a MySQL newsgroup.....
.....See the date_format function documentation for MySQL. It will provide
the information you are looking for. You can pull the date out of the
database and format it on the fly in your database query.

Subject: [PHP-GENERAL] Formating MySQL dates
Hey Gents,
How do I take the standard YYYY-MM-DD date entry in MySQl and format
it so information pulled from MySQL is displayed differently when
actually put on the web?
Thanks
