You have to rebuild your apache. Get a new apache distribution from
www.apache.org and rebuild it with shared module support. Take a look at
the ./cofigure --help but i think it's something along the lines of
--enable-module=so

Subject: [PHP] mod_so.c in Apache
I am *attempting* to install PHP4 on a RedHat server I play around with.
Then INSTALL file for php4 tells me that the mod_so.c must be there, and
when I do a httpd -l |less it is not there.
I have looked around for how to load this module but no luck.
Any ideas?
Also, should mySQL be install before I attempt this?
TIA,
Shane
