Hello there.. I oddly enough cannot subscribe to the lists today, so please
reply to magnwa@home.com.
We are using PHP on a large scale website, with mysql. THis site is clustered,
and we are trying to figure out a way to minimize the number of connections to
the database. Using pconnect with both the shared and static apache options we
end up having one connection to the db per server. Since new apaches spawn as
time goes on, it means we get between 100 - 200 connections at a given time.
We need to minimize that number.
Advice?
