Today for the first time I'm experiencing some weird stuff on my site. One
or more httpd processes block the entire site:
14204 nobody 16 0 3728 12 4 R 0 71.5 0.0 3:18 httpd
14788 nobody 15 0 3940 16 4 R 0 68.6 0.0 3:01 httpd
14940 nobody 0 0 5788 5576 1584 S 0 4.6 1.0 0:02 httpd
14155 nobody 4 0 5176 4848 1280 S 0 3.1 0.9 0:13 httpd
14167 nobody 2 0 5832 5024 1500 S 0 3.1 0.9 0:15 httpd
When I restart Apache, a few hours later the same thing happens,
I'm using Apache 1.3.12, PHP 4.0.1pl2, mySQL 3.23 on a Redhat system.
Nothing relevant has changed in the scripts we use.
My question:
Is there any way I can see what those two httpd processes are doing ? Which
request they are handling ?
What can I do to diagnose the problem ?
