How to handle an Upload without writing permissions ?
at least you should consider the application to write to /tmp
Directory.
If so, then you could easily read the Headers from the HTTP Server to
know if the FIle is or not a Word Document, ex: Application/MS-Word or
something like this.
But, what you want is to convert teh WOrd DOcument to a HTML or text
file in the fly ?
or store the Binary Word DOcument in the BLOB ?
If the first, then you should consider any converter like mswordview
for Linux, or something able to intyerpret the Word Format and dump
the info into ASCII/HTML mode.
