TRY 2: mail question

I've tried this on two different hosts. I don't control PHP on either of them. When I do
mail(.......) it returns success indicating
that the email was correctly structured. BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. NEVER. NOT IN 20-30 SECONDS, not in
20-30 HOURS. NOBODY GETS ANYTHING. I can't "configure" anything, so please don't
tell me to configure this or configure that. Please tell me the right question to ask to the person
who does that, because he or she may or may not know ANYTHING. One host is Apache, the other is a
Sun. The "real" one is the Sun. Thanks.
