RE: [PHP] generating .doc on the fly

I tried this in another (rather odd) environment and had some success. I took a word document and saved it as HTML and then opened it in a text editor. I used a .doc extension and kept: <html xmlns:o="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" xmlns:w="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40"> <HTML> <HEAD> <meta http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"> <meta name=ProgId content=Word.Document> <meta name=Generator content="Microsoft Word 9"> <meta name=Originator content="Microsoft Word 9"> <TITLE> .... </TITLE> <xml> <w:WordDocument> <w:View>Print</w:View> </w:WordDocument> </xml> Antyhing apart from that was my HTML. When I browse to it it opens as a word document. Presuming you are using apache you could specify that it is to be processed using PHP.
