What (if any) is the downside of including or requiring a file with a .php
extension (ie a footer) from a file with a .php extension?
For example, I have a self-contained "footer.php" that I call from both
legacy .html files and new .php pages, which obviously makes life simpler.
Can anyone see a problem with this? "footer.php" does not use any variables
our reference anything outside itself.
