You can't get any serious or useful advice if you don't explain what it is that you're trying to accomplish with your script, i.e., what purpose(s) it serves. One thing I can tell you right now is that "SELECT *" is rarely a good idea, unless you really are going to use every column in the table you're querying. Consider using "SELECT column1, columnx" instead. Cheers, Erik
