I'm looking for a bit o information here...
my company recently purchased up a handfull of
various ISP's and hosting providers in our region
and they are in the process of unifying all of the
services for all of the companys. It has fallen onto
my desk to be in charge of all of the respective websites.
The are going to be large portions of information that
is going to be heavily redundant, especially within the
services offered section. however each site is going to
still be on it's own server and retain it's own identity
to an extent. I'm aware of things like the midgard project
and things such as Zope, but I think these may be a bit more
robust than I am looking for. I am relatively new to PHP and
anything outside of graphics and markup for that matter. I
was just wonder if anyone had suggestions to possible sollutions
to my redundant work...I was thinking that I could possibly use
a php include with an absolute URL for the chunks of content that
I need to be global. that way I'd only have to update one file
for each of 5-8 sites...any thoughts?
Regards,
J.
